Are our students truly aware of the digital footprint they leave behind? On 10th October 2025, The School2shine Project, in collaboration with Ghana Internet Safety Foundation (GISF), GES Keta and SandCity Radio 88.9, hosted the Digital Safety Symposium at Bishop Herman Hall, Keta R.C. – Kedzikofe, under the theme “The Internet Remembers, Do You?” The symposium brought together JHS 3 students and ICT teachers to explore crucial topics such as cyberbullying, social media hygiene, sextortion, online privacy, fact-checking, and the positive use of the internet for e-learning and career opportunities. Mr. Raphael M. Amenyo (Director of Education, Keta Municipal) delivered inspiring opening remarks, Ms. Gloria Gyamfua introduced the GISF team and outlined audience expectations, and Mr. Gabriel Ofori Appiah – DTH,MTH,DTH led an engaging presentation equipping participants with practical strategies to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. With 92% of participants reporting increased confidence in handling online risks, the symposium showcased GISF’s commitment to creating digitally aware and empowered communities.
