GISF delivers specialist training for the organisations and professionals who protect children and the public, from schools and NGOs to companies, regulators and frontline services.
Since 2014, GISF has worked at the frontline of online safety in Ghana. We bring that experience to organisations through tailored training and advisory support in digital safeguarding, child online protection, trust and safety, safety by design and incident response. We also support the wellbeing of staff who are regularly exposed to harmful content.
Our training is aligned with international frameworks, including the ITU Guidelines on Child Online Protection, the WeProtect Global Alliance Model National Response, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner Safety by Design principles and the Keeping Children Safe standards. We adapt them to the laws, institutions and realities of Ghana and Africa.
Our approach is:
Our Child Online Protection Program provides practical knowledge and skills that help children navigate the internet safely and responsibly.
Developing and putting into practice digital safeguarding policies, reporting and escalation procedures.
Equipping teachers, social workers, health workers and staff to recognise and respond to online harm.
Helping technology companies, platforms and regulators build safer products and moderation systems.
Building the resilience of staff exposed to harmful content and traumatic online harm cases.
Schools and universities, NGOs and faith-based organisations, companies and technology platforms, government agencies and regulators, and health, social and frontline workers.
