Ghana's Cyber Security Authority has formally recognised the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation for its significant contribution to cybersecurity development in Ghana.

The Ghana Internet Safety Foundation (GISF) has been formally honoured by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) for its significant contribution to cybersecurity development in Ghana. The recognition was presented at [event name, venue and date].

The honour reflects more than a decade of work since GISF was founded in 2014: protecting children online, equipping parents, teachers and communities, training law enforcement and legal professionals, and supporting people affected by online harm through the CyberClinic Helpline (267).

Working together for a safer digital Ghana

GISF works closely with the CSA on child online protection. This includes contributing to the CSA–UNICEF consultation on Ghana’s National Child Online Protection Policy Framework, and referring serious cases of online child sexual exploitation and abuse to the Authority.

“This recognition belongs to every teacher, parent, police officer, volunteer and young ambassador who has worked with us to make the internet safer for Ghana’s children,” said Emmanuel Adinkra, Founder and President of GISF. “We are grateful to the Cyber Security Authority for its leadership, and we remain committed to building a digital Ghana where every child, family and community can thrive safely online.”

The CSA recognition adds to GISF’s other honours and affiliations, including national recognition through the Ghana Philanthropy Awards for digital inclusion and online safety, membership of the StopNCII.org network, affiliation with Child Helpline International, and founding membership of the Africa Children Online Safety Alliance (ACOSA).
