Every child deserves a safe space online, yet online child exploitation remains a borderless crime that no single organisation can tackle alone. In this video, Lydia Davenport (Childlight – Global Child Safety Institute) shares her reflections from the National Online Safety Summit 2026 (3–4 February), emphasising the importance of collaboration, innovative use of technology, and shared responsibility in protecting children online. She highlights the challenges of online abuse and why coordinated, multi-sector action is essential for real impact. Convened by Ghana Internet Safety Foundation in partnership with Praesidio Safeguarding and support from the Cyber Security Authority Ghana, the Summit emphasized practical action, evidence-based strategies, and real partnerships that can protect children online. The work does not end with the Summit. The real value lies in sustained collaboration, shared responsibility, and turning insight into action for safer digital spaces for children.
