NOSS 2026 concluded yesterday after two intensive days of dialogue, learning, and cross-sector collaboration focused on protecting children in digital spaces in Ghana. The Summit brought together government, law enforcement, civil society, industry, and international partners around a shared goal: moving from awareness to action on online child protection. Key discussions highlighted how online contact often escalates into coercion and financial abuse, the growing risks posed by grooming, sextortion, and AI-enabled exploitation, and the urgent need for early prevention, effective reporting mechanisms, and intelligence-led responses. Speakers also emphasized the importance of platform accountability, national coordination, and community-based approaches grounded in Ghana’s realities. Above all, NOSS 2026 reinforced a clear message: child online protection cannot be outsourced or postponed. It requires sustained leadership, practical collaboration, and personal responsibility from every stakeholder. As we move forward, the task before us is to close the gaps between policy and practice, awareness and action, institutions and communities, and build a united front to protect every child online.
