Empower Her Ghana
EmpowerHerGhana is an innovative social media campaign developed by Praesidiosafeguarding UK, with support from the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation. This initiative is tailored to educate and empower young girls and boys in Ghana, fostering resilience against the dangers of sharing private photos and information online.
The campaign leverages the influence of four key social media personalities to spread its message of personal empowerment and caution against exploitation:
- Richael: Recognized on TikTok as Sheisrichael, she uses her platform to promote smart digital choices.
- Aaliyah: Known on TikTok as Liyadances, she encourages young followers to prioritize safety and empowerment.
- King Nature: Active as kingnature_on TikTok, he focuses on connecting youth with online safety tools.
- Demzy: Also a prominent influencer, contributing through engaging and educational content.
These influencers are instrumental in conveying positive messages and connecting young people with essential online safety resources from reputable organizations. By utilizing platforms that children feel comfortable with, such as TikTok, the campaign ensures access to high-quality advice and support, maintaining safety in both digital and real-world contexts.
Children are encouraged to keep their social media accounts private, interact only with known contacts, and to report and block anyone soliciting personal photos and information.
For urgent assistance or to report inappropriate content, children can anonymously use the IWF Ghana reporting portal or contact the Cyberclinic hotline at 059-699-2741. Further support and resources can be accessed through the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation website or Ghana – Defence for Children. This campaign equips children to protect themselves and their peers from online threats effectively.
Over 13,000 instances of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) were identified in Ghana in 2020, emphasizing the urgent need for protective measures. ShieldHER aims to directly benefit around 1,200 girls from educational institutions in Accra and Kumasi, contributing to a safer and more empowering online environment for young women.

King Nature can be found on TikTok under the username kingnature_, where he shares content focused on nature, sustainability, and the importance of protecting personal information online. His unique approach helps young viewers understand the value of their digital presence in a broader environmental and social context.
Demzy
Demzy is a dynamic influencer who engages with a wide audience across multiple social media platforms. He combines humor, education, and candid discussions to empower his followers. Demzy focuses on teaching young people how to navigate social media responsibly and protect themselves from online risks.
